How to order a commission

  1. Select a clear photograph

Taking a good photograph of your furry friend can be a real challenge. A high quality photo makes a real difference to the detail in the drawing so it really is worth getting the best possible reference photo.

It doesn’t need to be a professional photo or from a fancy camera however, phone cameras usually do a good enough job and your furry friend is less likely to be camera shy.

If your portrait is a surprise gift or of a pet that has passed away , I understand it might not be possible to gain a clear photo or photos but I am always happy to advise on the photos you do have available.

2. The drawing process

I love to capture the characteristics of your furry friend, I always start with the eyes , the window to the soul.

All my drawings are drawn free hand , using professional coloured pencils and only the best paper. This is your chance to own some high quality fine art to last a lifetime.

All I ask is for a 20% deposit and the rest once the artwork is completed. My time frame for your artwork to be completed is around 3-4 weeks depending on the breed, fur and size . If more than one subject then time frame will increase to 4-6 weeks.

3. Packaging & postage

All the artwork I produce comes fully mounted , in a clear cellophane bag and a certificate of authenticity.

Portraits within the UK are FREE postage. If you live local to Nantwich 10 miles radius I can always deliver.

Portraits internationally please request for postal fee.
